Alcott Students Collect Pennies for Open Table

Fourth grade students at the Alcott Elementary School in Concord recently held a Penny Drive and collected $810 in pennies which they generously donated to Open Table. All those pennies add up to real food for those experiencing food insecurity in Massachusetts. $810 allows us to purchase over $4,800 pounds of food from the Greater Boston Food Bank or will help us serve over 240 nutritious meals to our guests. Thank you, Alcott families! (And thank you for converting that heavy pile of pennies to a check before giving it to us!)
