Open Table’s Jim Terry – Concord’s Honored Citizen

Every year, Concord chooses a citizen to honor for their outstanding contributions to the town. This year, that person is Open Table’s very own Jim Terry, a man whose quiet presence has left a lasting imprint on our organization.

For more than 10 years, Jim has served Open Table in a variety of roles, including site director, treasurer, finance committee member, and crucially as part of the facilities committee, planning and executing the procurement and renovation of our new home. Everyone who interacts with him recognizes him as a reliable and unbending force within the organization, someone who is strong but calm in every situation.

Jim has been generous with his time not only within our own universe, but in the greater Concord and Boston universe as well. He has worked as a Selectman, on numerous committees, as the first male advocate in the Domestic Violence Services Network, and as a math tutor at the Boston Leadership Academy in Hyde Park.

We are fortunate to call him one of our own, and congratulate him on this well-deserved honor.
