Open Table Truck Ceremony

Open Table recently held a “truck ceremony” where they received a check to fund a new, refrigerated truck. Senator Jamie Eldridge and Representative Kate Hogan were on hand to present the check for $75,000, money they worked to earmark from state funding in the FY18 budget. This custom-designed truck gives us greater access to donated food and the ability to distribute food to a wider area, to people who may have difficulty getting to us. Kudos to Sen. Eldridge and Rep. Hogan for getting us this generous amount, and to Open Table board member Julie Neubauer who first made the request.
