Summer Concord Food Drive

With kids home all summer and the added burdens of the COVID-19 crisis this year, many families are finding it harder to put food on the table and make other ends meet. We’re there for them, but we could use your help. Disruptions in the food supply chain have lead to sporadic shortages of some weeks of basic nonperishable items that we provide our guests. Donations from the community really make a difference! Please consider picking up some additional items the next time that you are shopping, and join us for a curbside collection food drive.

We’ll be at our Community Donation Center (105 Everett Street, Concord) from 10am to noon on Wednesday, July 22. Volunteers (in masks and gloves) will be at the ready to safely take donated items from your car, minimizing social interaction. And all donors will receive a bumper magnet showing your support for Open Table! Needed items include: stews and other canned meat proteins, soups, oatmeals and other whole grain cereals, and personal care items. Other items always in need are listed HERE on our website.

If you can’t make it on Wednesday, feel free to drop donations in the donation bins at our 33 Main Street, Maynard or outside Crosby’s Marketplace, 133 Sudbury Road in Concord. And, of course, if you’d rather donate financially so that we can purchase whatever we most need each week, donations are always welcome.
