What a Great Maynard Parade!

What a fabulous event the 55th Maynard Christmas and Holiday Parade was! Thank you to all of the parade goers who together brought over 1600 pounds of food donations – which were add to the Open Table and Maynard Food Pantry shelves.

Thanks to MaryEllen McCarthy, our Board of Directors member for representing Open Table during parade planning and delivering food to us on Sunday, with the help of her “elves”: Sue Evitts Hines, Jim Hines, Lisa Pepi Oliphant, Rob Oliphant, Sean Oliphant, Alicia Barry Gallo, Bob McCarthy and drivers, Chris Gallo and Darwin Fajardo. We so appreciate the hours you spent sorting the food and getting over to our building for distribution to our clients in the coming weeks.

A huge shoot out to Jen Picorelli for coming up with idea and spearheading the entire parade, all of which made this possible! Special thank you to the Parade Committee; Sanctuary – Event and Live Music Venue for providing space to sort the food; Deb Roussell for handling the warming center for Seniors; and Mary Siegel, the President of our Board of Directors, for supporting this effort. You all showed us how you spread #morelovelesshunger!
