Press Release: Environments at Work Donates Full Suite of Office Furniture

Environments at Work Donates Full Suite of Office Furniture to Open Table

Upgrade to Maynard office space facilitates administration of mission of ending hunger in the local community

Concord and Maynard, MA (May 18, 2022) – Open Table, the Concord and Maynard charity dedicated to fighting hunger and building healthy communities, today announced that Boston-based Environments at Work has donated a full suite of new office furniture to Open Table. The new furniture significantly improves working conditions for both administrative staff and partner organizations and helps ensure that Open Table executes on its mission of ending hunger in the local community.

“Over the last couple years, Open Table has made huge strides in building out both a permanent pantry space as well as adjacent administrative offices in downtown Maynard,” said Jeanine Calabria, executive director, Open Table. “The furniture donation from Environments at Work allows us to complete the creation of a functional administrative workspace and makes it so much easier for all our staff and our increasing number of partners as we work to expand both the reach and impact of Open Table.”

Open Table volunteer Laura Moore, principal at Concord-based ClutterClarity, spearheaded the furniture donation proposal to Environments at Work with the help of interior designer Nan Krueger, of Maynard-based Groovy Home, who designed the floor plan and helped created the list of needed furniture.

Once Open Table’s proposal was accepted, Environments at Work project manager Linh Nguyễn and designer Meghan Lettieri visited Open Table in Maynard to finalize the plan. In May, an Environments at Work team spent a full day at Open Table removing all the old furniture and setting up the new office. The new office suite includes desks, conference tables, comfortable chairs, side tables, storage cabinets, and file cabinets.

“At Environments for Work, we understand the power of comfortable and beautiful furniture to improve workplace morale and productivity,” said Ken Patrick, president and founding partner at Environments at Work. “We are delighted that we are able to help transform the Open administrative offices into a more modern and functional space.”
