Jill Block is a public health consultant who has spent much of her 30 plus year career working on issues such as reproductive health, substance misuse, health education, and community health.  She brings an understanding of the social determinants of health to her work with Open Table, which provides context for our work in addressing food insecurity. She received her Master in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and has worked as a consultant for state and local health departments, the New York City and Boston public schools, and hospitals including Emerson and Mt. Auburn. Ms. Block is a member of the Concord Board of Health, serves on the Community Benefits committee at Emerson Hospital, and is a former board member of Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts, where she continues to serve on their Education advisory committe
