Umbrella Arts Empty Bowls
November 7, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
On November 7, The Umbrella is hosting its fourth annual Empty Bowls event to celebrate clay and service. In the first two years, the events made more than 300 bowls and raised over $5,000 for Open Table (and last year was even more successful).
For a suggested donation of $20 attendees can pick a bowl of their choice and “fill it” with dinner from local restaurants partnering in the event. The bowls are made throughout the summer by Umbrella artists, Umbrella adult and teen students, and others. The artfully handmade ceramic bowls have a wide range of colors, sizes and shapes for everyone. Attendees can select a unique piece that speaks to them, while supporting a charitable cause. The bowls add art to everyday life, while reminding us of the people in our community and beyond that go hungry and have empty bowls.
Due to the construction work taking place at the Umbrella, this year’s Empty Bowls event will be held at First Parish Church in Concord.

Open Table is very grateful to The Umbrella for organizing this event and for the support of the artists and the community.
