Thank You, Maynard Farmers’ Market and Bakers

Open Table was delighted to be the recipient of the funds raised this year at the Maynard Farmers’ Market Apple Pie Baking Contest, which took place on Saturday, September 23^rd. The first thing we learned is that we have lots of talented bakers in town and the second is that everyone has their own idea of what makes a perfect apple pie. Prizes were awarded for most beautiful, most creative, best crust, best filling, overall best pie and community favorite. Winners were Leslie Moesta, Cassandra Dale, Joan Kelley and Cindy Parmenter who took home the awards for best filling and best crust as well as overall best pie. After the judging, everyone was invited to make a donation to Open Table and taste the pies and much joy ensued. Open Table received $345 in donations, which will be well used.
