News from Our Executive Director

Dear Open Table Community,

After nine years of leading Open Table, I’ve decided that the time has come to close this chapter of my life and move on to a new one. My last day will be September 14th, 2022, the date of our Annual Meeting. I remain committed to our mission of ending hunger and will endeavor to support the incredible work of this organization. With one out of three adults in Massachusetts experiencing food insecurity, the work has never been more important.

Open Table has been an incredible place to work and I cherish the wonderful friendships and positive supportive community that we have made together. Having secured the new warehouse and established a dedicated staff and volunteer leadership team, it feels like a good time to move on. I am planning to take some time for myself to focus on many projects that are calling my name and to contemplate what’s next professionally.

This has been a bittersweet decision for me. I have loved working with all of you and am so proud of what we have accomplished. At the same time, I am yearning to stretch myself in new directions and enjoy a bit of down time as well.
