Open Table Receives Grant from Trinitarian Congregational Church

General operating support to help meet growing need

Concord and Maynard, MA (July 18, 2023) – Open Table, the MetroWest charity dedicated to fighting hunger and building healthy communities, today announced that it has received a generous grant in support of general operations awarded by the Mission Committee of Trinitarian Congregational Church in Concord.

In conferring the grant, the Mission Committee noted that they “recognize that food insecurity remains a significant challenge for so many families in Middlesex County, and support the vital role that Open Table plays in providing healthy food for those in need.”

“We have seen substantial and sustained growth in demand in the past year: we’ve distributed 36% more pounds of food and assisted 119% more new individuals. This grant will help ensure we can meet this increased need,” said Alexandra DePalo, executive director, Open Table. “Open Table greatly appreciates the continued support of the TriCon community, both financially and through the invaluable volunteer time of congregation members, as we work together to end hunger in our community.”
