And the Winner is…

Chopped for Charity 2024, held on Friday, May 3, was a fantastic evening filled with culinary delights, crafted cocktails, exciting auction experiences, delectable desserts, and plenty of fun!

Together, we raised over $180,000 in support of More Love, Less Hunger! A heartfelt thank you goes out to all who attended, participated, volunteered, and supported the event and our mission.

Congratulations to our Chef winner, Chef Jonathan Gilman, whose Colorful Cod Fish Tacos with Rhubarb Pico de Gallo captivated the judges’ palates. It was a tough competition, with Chef Viviana Duque’s Steak with Potatoes & Plantains in Rhubarb Sauce and Chef Jason Jernigan’s Greek YogurtCavatelli with Pan Seared Scallops also impressing the judges.

Further congratulations are due to our Mixology Champion, Samantha Hughes. Her Italian Refresher just edged out Jordan Mackey’s Mexican-themed cocktail. A big thank you to our Emcee Joe Gatto and three judges, Sarah Blackburn, Jeanine Calabria, and auction-winning judge Julia Whiteneck for sharing their culinary expertise and making the evening so enjoyable! And special thanks to our honoree, Jim Crosby, for sharing his inspiring story and for Crosby’s Marketplace’s ongoing support of our mission and our community.

Be sure to check our Chopped for Charity page where we have posted photos from the event, with more to be added over the coming days.
