Wednesday, May 25, 3 – 4pm, Concord Public Library, Main Branch, Children’s Area
NEW! Introducing a new, monthly program for elementary kids brought to you in partnership by the Concord Free Public Library and Open Table, a local food pantry serving Concord and surrounding communities. This hands-on program will use different stories each month to help educate children, and facilitate discussion, on food insecurity. The kids will then decorate a bag and fill it with food provided by Open Table in support of the Open Table Kids’ Bags program. They will learn about Open Table and how meaningful their actions, such as making Kids’ Bags and donating food, are to children and others in their community. Kids are hungry to help. Helping feels good!
Food Donations Welcome! – If you would like, you may bring a food donation. Please note a donation is not necessary to participate in the program.
