Hot in the Kitchen with the Board

Temperatures neared record highs on August 11th, but the heat didn’t keep the Open Table Board from helping out. The Board helped serve a cold dinner and learned just how “hot” it is in the kitchen! Thank you to the Board for serving and of course to all the volunteers who “brave the heat” weekly to bring a wonderful service to our guests!

Please remember that our current facilities are not air conditioned. If excessive heat is forecast we will have limited service and advise all elderly and persons with health issues impacted by the heat to remain at home or at their community’s cooling stations. Please stay safe.
