Thank You, Kerem Shalom

We again thank the members of the Kerem Shalom community for their generous support of Open Table. This past weekend the congregation held a Food drive and Purim CAR-nival, a delightful way to celebrate the Jewish holiday, which traditionally includes exchanges of food gifts and donations to charity – what a perfect fit for a food drive! Those who came to the drive-thru event were treated to a carnival-style experience and Purim pastries. A total of 668 pounds of food were donated, with many items specifically for our clients with allergies, food sensitivities, or who are vegan or vegetarian. Many thanks to Nancy Kaplan and Susan Brager Murphy who organized the drive and are pictured making the final food deliveries today.
