Unrestricted grants will help create equitable access to food throughout MetroWest area

Concord and Maynard, MA (July 5, 2023) – Open Table, the MetroWest charity dedicated to fighting hunger and building healthy communities, today announced that it has received two unrestricted grants, one from First Parish Lincoln and the second from CHNA 7 MetroWest (formerly known as the Community Health Coalition of MetroWest). The proceeds from both grants will help support Open Table operations.

First Parish Lincoln – This is the fourth year of a five-year commitment from First Parish Lincoln for a $1,000 annual grant.

CHNA 7 MetroWest – This is an unrestricted $2,000 grant. CHNA 7 partners include municipal, public and private agencies in 22 cities and towns in the Greater Framingham and Greater Foxborough regions.

“These grants support Open Table’s general operations and strengthen the safety net for our neighbors in need,” said Alexandra DePalo, executive director, Open Table. “With 36% of children and 33% of adults in Massachusetts facing hunger, this support is more important than ever.”
