We want to thank the Agnes Lindsay Trust for their recent generous grant. Open Table…

Update from Open Table
Like many, at Open Table, we are waiting to fully understand the impact of federal funding cuts to food banks, farms, and food relief programs. While uncertainty surrounds us, we are grounded in our mission and belief that access to fresh food is critical for kids, families, and older adults to live full and healthy lives.
For over 35 years, Open Table has been working hard to support members of our community facing tough times. Right now, 70% of Open Table’s food comes from the Greater Boston Food Bank and through partnerships with local farms. In the coming weeks, we will have a clearer sense of how cuts at the federal level will impact our ability to serve people locally. We know that many people in our area are making difficult financial decisions just to meet their basic needs—needs like housing, health care, and food. Open Table is here to be a resource people can turn to when they can’t make ends meet. We are here to offer hope and treat people with respect.
At this time, Open Table is continuing all of our food relief programs and services. We do anticipate that the funding cuts will have an impact on our work and will share more information as we have it. We will also offer ways that you can support our efforts and the community we serve during these challenging times. Open Table remains committed to supporting our neighbors in need. We are so grateful to our staff, volunteers, and donors who make our work possible.
Sincerely,
Alexandra DePalo
