Job Opportunity: Truck Driver & Pantry Assistant

Our incredible Truck Driver and Pantry Assistant, Jeff Geraghty, has announced his upcoming retirement — and while we’re thrilled for him, he’ll be deeply missed! Jeff has been an essential part of the Open Table team, and though no one can truly fill his shoes, we’re now looking for the next dedicated Driver & Pantry Assistant to carry the torch.

The successful candidate will be comfortable driving, parking, loading and unloading our 15-foot refrigerated truck.  Our pick-up locations are varied and include weekly trips into Downtown Boston to the Greater Boston Food Bank.  The position requires great communication and collaboration with our community partners, volunteers and staff.  In addition to driving the truck, the person in this role will help to set up food distribution activities at Open Table and at some community partner sites.  In-person training will be provided. 32 hours per week, $28/hr with three weeks paid time off (accrued on monthly basis)
