Open Table Receives Grant from Crawford Idema Family Foundation

Donation to support program operations and purchased food

Concord and Maynard, MA (January, 16, 2024) – Open Table, the MetroWest charity dedicated to fighting hunger and building healthy communities, proudly announces the award of a generous grant from the Crawford Idema Family Foundation. This marks an impressive 25 consecutive years of steadfast support from the Crawford Idema Family Foundation and highlights its enduring commitment to Open Table’s vital mission.

Following a year of unprecedented demand, Open Table continues to witness a surge in the need for hunger relief among individuals and families across the 21 towns it serves. Alexandra DePalo, Executive Director of Open Table, expressed, “The Crawford Idema Family Foundation’s staunch support comes at a crucial time when the demand for our services is higher than ever.”

The funds provided by the Crawford Idema Family Foundation will supplement food donations and allow the organization to purchase essential, healthy staples such as meats, dairy products, eggs, produce, and nonperishables. As a result, Open Table will be equipped to ensure a consistent and ample supply of food staples and produce each week, thereby addressing the diverse and evolving needs of its clients.
