Open Table Receives Grant from Sincere Foundation

Contribution to support general operations and help meet growing need in the community

Concord and Maynard, MA (January, 9, 2024) – Open Table, the MetroWest charity dedicated to fighting hunger and building healthy communities, today announced that it has received a generous grant from the Sincere Foundation. This invaluable contribution will fortify Open Table’s general operations and enable the organization to fulfill its mission.Distinguished for its integral role in the Middlesex County food distribution system, Open Table stands out from other local food pantries. Beyond the distribution of essential grocery items, the organization’s state-of-the-art commercial kitchen produces 1,400 nutritious meals each week. Open Table’s commitment to weekly food distribution sets it apart, ensuring the provision of fresh produce, protein, and dairy to those in need. The Sincere Foundation, recognizing Open Table’s distinctive operating model has extended this grant to further the organization’s efforts in enhancing access to nutritional foods for communities in Middlesex County.

“We’ve witnessed a substantial and sustained surge in demand over the past year, distributing 37% more pounds of food and assisting 119% more new individuals. This grant from the Sincere Foundation is instrumental in our ability to meet this increased need,” said Alexandra DePalo, executive director, Open Table. “Working together, we can strengthen the social safety net in the Greater Boston community and ensure that no one goes without essential nourishment.”
